Q. How many players can participate?

It depends on the rule:

  • Hanawase: 3-7 players
  • Inobota-Chūshin: 3-7 players
  • Hachihachi: 3-7 players

Q. Can players be added during a session?

Yes. The host can add players from the "Participants" tab during an active session. Participants can also join via QR code or join code at any time.

Rankings

Q. I don't see myself in the rankings

Check the following:

  1. You must have a logged-in account (anonymous accounts don't appear in national rankings)
  2. Set your ranking visibility to "Public" on the Settings page
  3. For HP ranking, play at least 1 rated game using an official rule. For Rule Avg Score (national), play at least 3 matches

Q. What is HP (Houwow Point)?

HP is a performance rating based on the Elo system, adapted for multi-player games. All players start at 1500 HP. Your rating changes after each session using an official rule (Koi-Koi, Hanawase, Inobota-Chūshin, Hachihachi). The change depends on your rank, score, opponent ratings, and how many rounds were played (at least 20% of 12 rounds must be completed).

HP appears in the dashboard stats, match history, and the ranking page.

Q. Are there rankings for custom rules?

National rankings cover official rules only. Custom rule stats can be viewed in circle and friend rankings.

Community Rules

Q. How do I use custom rules in a session?

Bookmark a rule from "Community Rules" or create your own. When creating a session, select your rule from the "My Rules" dropdown below the official rules.

Q. Can I copy and edit someone else's rule?

Yes. Use the "Copy" button on a rule's detail page to duplicate it as your own. The copied rule can be freely edited.
